The School Governing Body is a vital part of St. John's. The Governors bring a zeal for education and a perspective and experience from the outside world, which enable them to support the headteacher and staff in the running of the school. They provide strong links between the school and the community it serves, an independent view, and a visible form of accountability. Together with the headteacher, the Governing Body looks at the day to day financial management of the school, the standards of teaching and learning, and plans for long-term development and improvement.
